Whoever thought it would be a good idea to get 3 dogs must have been an absolutely crazy drunk person. One with no children and full access to a doggy day care.
To back up and update you a little bit-- we've been having some issues with our dogs lately. Ironically enough, when we were living in Seattle, we dreamed of living in a home with a fenced yard so our dogs could run free all day and just basically be the happiest dogs on the planet. Now, we desperately want to live in an apartment again. Our dogs are diggers. There is almost nothing more annoying. Having three dogs and a baby with another on the way and really only one of us being the sole caretaker of all species in this home (that would be me) is TOO MUCH. We have been desperately trying to re-home Griffen with no luck.
Anyways, our dogs had managed to get out of their crate one night while we were sleeping and decided to eat the broken down cardboard boxes and styrofoam that were being stored in the garage, and then use the garage as their own personal toilet. It was LOVELY. We had to wait till the weekend to do anything about it because for the most part it's just me here taking care of things while Eric is at work and for those of you that don't have children (and/or don't remember what it's like to have an almost 1 year old) it's pretty much impossible for me to leave the room without triggering a royal meltdown.
While Eric bravely tackled the garage, I put Tristan in the baby sling and tackled the inside. For those that don't know, I'm somewhat of an Obsessive-Compulsive-Anti-Hoarder. I'm not one of those people that can shove a bunch of junk in a room and sleep well knowing the door is shut. I wish I was, truly. But I get severe anxiety and it keeps me up all night. So knowing that we are that much closer to emptying a few more boxes in the garage is deeply satisfying for me.
Another reason we have been trying to get rid of stuff- aka junk- is to of course, make more room for baby# 2, but also because we've been debating about packing up all of our stuff, closing our eyes and picking a place on the map, and moving there.
We might be crazy. But so be it.
