New Social Media Buttons!

Whew! I worked on this blog ALL afternoon and I still don't feel like it's done. I used to be pretty quick with HTML back in my Myspace/Xanga days but I was a bit rusty so I had to look up basically everything I wanted to do. Although I caught on quickly, it still took me about 2 hours just to add my new social media buttons that I got from here, although I orginally refound my beloved codes from here.'

They look kind of like this:

So you better use them.

You can now follow me on Twitter, Pinterest & Instagram or you can add me on FB, and even email me. Woohoo.

I'm working on setting up more fun things but I'm dizzy with html and my codes are starting to get mixed up so even though things aren't perfect, I got it to an at least presentable place. Hope you enjoy! :)

My tshirt of the day

Today I wanted to lounge around after work so I threw on the first shirt I picked from the closet without any care to what it looked like. As long as it was comfy.

I've had this shirt for a long time and I used to wear it on occasions when I was feeling super sassy or when the Hubs (then known as 'the boyfriend') and I were having a tiff. Oh the good ole days when beer was the problem and the answer.

And then I realized how important this shirt is. This shirt will never be thrown away, ever. And I'm also pretty sure that because I just said that the Hubs is going to come home, try to find it and burn it so I'm going to bury it in the backyard for safekeeping.

This is the shirt I wore to my ultrasound while I was pregnant with Tristan. The one where we found out that we were having a boy.

The memory is so vivid because the Hubs complained the whole time my big belly sported this shirt. He was so embarassed. He was like, 'Dude...you're pregnant.' When I tried to explain it to him that it was funny and I liked this shirt. So I responded, ' All the more funny'. This one's gonna go in the baby book for sure.

Have a good night! :)

Sunday Funday

Our boys were not feeling good last week; Tristan came down with "Hand, Foot, Mouth Disease" and we were unsure whether Ryan got it or not...so we went into lockdown mode. We were stuck inside due to the terrible rain and no friends to play with; didn't want to risk exposing other kids. Nonetheless, we also had to miss church due to the extremely catchy nature.

(PS. We finally decided that Ryan probably did not get it when I stuck my finger in his mouth and felt his very first tooth. That would account for the pterodactyl screaming through the night all week. More on said tooth later.)

I must say, there is nothing that makes you feel more guilty for not being at church than getting your nails done on a Sunday and looking around the "station" to see an asian figurine with male genitalia staring you in the face. Awkward

We started out the day in pants, a tshirt and a hoodie. And out of nowhere, Seattle does it again. We quickly stripped down to more summer appropriate attire. (See pics for proof). Eric and his Dad went to the gym together so while Ryan napped, T and I played in his new sandbox and broke out the water table for the first time! (Gifts from his 2nd birthday). So glad to have some outdoor toys this year. Hours of fun! Once I showed Tristan how to make mud, it was all over from there.
The fun could not stop.

The rake in the water table makes perfect sense...right?
Cutest fat rolls you'll ever see. Besides Ryan's thighs, of course.
Transferring the water to the sand. MUD.

And guess who finally woke up? This angel face! Oh yeah, the baby too ;)

The bestest friend ever!

I have the bestest friend ever!

Yesterday, I started my first day of working in the Kids Klub at the gym.

and today, I recieved a beautiful bouquet of flowers!

I was told they were delivered yesterday (which was my 1st day) but I worked in the morning but the flowers didn't make it till the afternoon so I just got them today!

Kristen is so thoughtful and creative! I would never have thought to send a friend flowers on their first day of work. Kristen does all sorts of creative, thoughtful things... in high school, she used to write me silly letters when we'd have a fight, or she'd make me a silly birthday shirt and enforce the wearing of it on said birthday... she once brought over an entire bag of groceries and a few premade meals for me and Eric when we had no jobs, she sent me flowers on a particularly rough point in my pregnancy with Tristan, she bakes me cuppies and yummy treats all the time, made me a sweet baby book after T was born, spoils my children (and me and the Hubs!)... and this is just touching lightly on the subject. The list could go on and on and on!

I must take notes from my little Pisten on how to be a better friend!

So glad she is my friend...and no, I will not share :)

PS.
I think Kristen has sent me more flowers than Eric!! (cough...cough...)

A whole new world!

You know what I love most?

Weekends with our favorite friends!

PLAYING with my babies, taking pictures, gossiping with Kelci, and watching my man work.

And most importantly, not doing a darn thing!

The minute we see a blue sky and it's warm enough to be outside in a hoodie, we deem it officially "BBQ season". I love BBQ season.

BBQ season = Boys cooks dinner.

This spring has been a complete 180 of last year. Last year, I tried taking Tristan to the park a few times and he either didn't like the grass or he stood there wondering what I expected him to do. We were a pathetic duo. I was too pregnant to care that me and my first born were practically translucent from lack of sun, and Tristan was too young to care about anything other than Barney and my household cleaning products.

This year, WW3 breaks out when it's time to come inside. Tristan now loves to be outside, doing anything. Standing on the doorstep, hanging out in the garage, playing in his new sandbox on the deck, chasing the dogs in the grass, playing in the Green's driveway, riding in their Jeep, eating lollipops. To little T Man, outside = where all the fun is. It's like he's discovered, there's this whole new world out there...

Hunter was such a nice friend to let Tristan ride in the Jeep!

Today, the UPS guy rang the doorbell, and I attempted to quickly grab my package and shut the door before Tristan noticed. As soon as the door shut Tristan yelled, "Noooooo Nooooooooooo" and threw himself at my feet. Oy. Being a toddler is so hard.

Last weekend, the big boys (Eric and Justin) had a project to work on, so Tristan was in heaven playing in the Green's yard with Carson and Hunter, and pretending to help Kelci weed. I think he was assisting her with "dirt spreading".

Ryan, of course being the perfect baby that he is, loved the grass. He didn't even cry when the grass tickled his legs. I was able to have a mini photoshoot with my angelic child, but he was quite distracted by what the older boys were doing, so I did the best I could :)

Tristan picked me a beautiful Tulip from Kelci's garden :)

I love that we live under 10 minutes from our bestest friends now!
It's going to be a great summer :)
