In our previous ward, he was known as the "Mute Button" baby because of his Binky that said "Mute Button".
One day... I threw it in the trash.
And that was that.
UHHHHHH--- MAZING.
We had a short cry on the 2nd day during naptime, but I read him a quick story and life was suddenly right again and off to sleep he went.
Seriously? If I had known that it would be this easy, we wouldn't have fretted so much about getting rid of it. BUT I still would have used it. Everyone has their opinions on the pacifier. Mine? I never cared. I KNEW he wouldn't be walking across the stage at 18 to receive his diploma with it in his mouth-- SO WHAT if he ended up 4 years old with a pacifier in his mouth...really. I just didn't care. I let him have it because I value my sleep. And in the end, we won.
Now, we'll just wait another year or so and hope for the best when it comes time for Ryan.
ps.
THANK YOU GOD.
& also,
HALLELUJAH!
I like your attitude..some things don't have to be big deals, and you were right! Yippee!
